Preferred Suppliers generally consist of a number of specialist Suppliers in a field or industry who have been assessed through an open tender process. These suppliers are reviewed periodically to ensure they are meeting customer requirements and delivering value for money.
Predominantly, preferred suppliers are sought where there is a large number of suppliers in a particular market and where 番茄社区 is seeking to maintain a shortlist of suppliers that have met the core quality, sustainability, value for money, fitness for purpose, capability, and experience criteria.
Similar to a contracted supplier agreement however a preferred supplier represents a selection of capable suppliers from which Purchasers can order scheduled goods or services at agreed rates, usually based on price and availability. Purchasers can order these goods or services at agreed rates, without the need to obtain further quotes.
Contracted Suppliers have formally established a working relationship with 番茄社区. A supply contract locks in pricing and other benefits that the supplier is agreeing to provide to 番茄社区 for a specific period of time.
The terms of a supply contract often define everything from the:
- means whereby the products are delivered,
- terms of payment, and
- any other aspect of the relationship that the two parties have determined to be necessary.
Further quotations are not required when purchasing from contracted suppliers.
Pre-qualified Suppliers generally consist of a number of specialist Suppliers in a field or industry who have been pre-qualified through an open tender process. These panels are reviewed periodically to ensure they are meeting customer requirements.
Predominantly, the panel is sought where there are a large number of suppliers in a particular market and where 番茄社区 is seeking to maintain a shortlist of suppliers that have met core quality, sustainability, fitness for purpose, capability, and experience criteria.
Pre-qualified Supplier agreements differ from contracted supplier or preferred supplier agreements in that Purchasers can select Suppliers to respond to a closed tender/quote process rather than simply engage them to provide goods or services.
