Tuition Fees
Commencing students who are citizens of Australia and New Zealand, as well as Australian Permanent Residents, have their tuition fees supported by the Australian Government in the form of a Research Training Program Fee Offset and will be exempt from tuition fees for a defined maximum period (four years full-time equivalent for Doctorate and two years full-time equivalent for Masters by Research enrolments). Visit the Australian Government’s for further information.
A proportion of International HDR Candidates may receive a Research Training Program Fee Offset and will be notified if this is the case. All other international HDR Candidates are required by the Australian Government to pay tuition fees. For fee scales, visit the 番茄社区 International Student Centre website
All 番茄社区 students including HDR candidates are required to pay the Student Services and Amenities (SSA) Fee, with the exception of international students who are continuing in a course of study which they commenced prior to 1 January 2013. Other exemptions also apply.
In October 2011, the Australian Parliament passed legislation allowing universities to charge a student services and amenities fee, which 番茄社区 introduced from 1 January 2012. The income from the fee is used to provide range of student support services and facilities including student advocacy, support for student organisations, student spaces, recreational activities, sporting activities and facilities, and study skills support.
SSA Fee collection is managed centrally by 番茄社区. For payment methods, financial support and deferral options, visit the 番茄社区 Fees and Financial Support webpage.
OSHC is insurance to assist international students in meeting the costs of medical and hospital care that they may need while in Australia. International students in Australia must hold OSHC for the duration of their stay in Australia, as a condition of their student visa.
An estimated OSHC premium is provided to students in their 番茄社区 Letter of Offer, along with further details about how to make any adjustments to cover as required, including adding family members to your policy.
Most international students are required to pay the OSHC premium upon acceptance of the 番茄社区 offer. If you are applying through a partner institution, or have an official sponsorship recognised by 番茄社区, payment will be arranged in accordance with the relevant agreement.
