Change of preferences and submitting documents

It is free to change your preferences the first three times. After this, each additional change is $65.

Yes, but make sure you order your preferences carefully. Refer to 'How do I order my preferences?' below.

You can upload your documents when completing your application.

You can apply for up to six courses. Listing six preferences helps maximise your chances of getting an offer.

Ordering preferences, evaluating your options and the offer process

You can use the following tips as a guide:

  • Preferences 1 and 2 are your desired courses. List the courses you really want to study, even if you don't think you will be offered a place.
  • Preferences 3 and 4 are your back-up course choices. These are courses you're likely to receive an offer for, something you are interested in, an alternative career area, another way of studying or an upgrading pathway.
  • Preferences 5 and 6 are your pathway courses. These are courses you are willing to study if you miss out on all your other preferences. You should be sure you are going to receive an offer for these courses.

Packaged offers allow students to access additional support, while studying pre-requisites and meeting other entry requirements for their preferred degree. Click here for more information on ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø's QTAC packaged offers.

ATARs in Queensland are released on Friday 13 December at 9 am.

Please do not fret if you don’t receive an offer from ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø in December as most offers, especially for students applying to ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø from interstate, will come via the major offer round in January.

QTAC has multiple offer rounds. The major offer round for Study Period 1, 2025 for most universities, including ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø, is Thursday 16 January.

You will receive your offer via email and text message (SMS) and will receive only one offer per round. The offer you will receive is based on both the order you preferenced your course options in your QTAC application and your eligibility based on course admission criteria and your ATAR.

Once you receive your offer please ensure that you respond by the dates stated in your Letter of Offer. You can choose to accept the offer outright; to accept it conditionally with no change of preference; or to accept it conditionally with a change of preference.

If you are already eligible for the course you have applied for before secondary results are released, you could receive an offer as soon as school finishes. This might occur if you have previously completed study at TAFE or if you have applied for an open access course.

For further information on offer round dates please visit the  website.

If you're a Year 12 student in Queensland, you must enter your Learner Unique Identifier (LUI) to complete your application.

Help is available to if you need it.

The Change of Preference period starts inline with the release of ATAR results in December. For a limited time you can adjust or change your QTAC preferences before some ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø course offers commence. For further information please visit the Change of Preference webpage.
