is an affiliate of the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers (), which aims to support mathematics teachers and improve mathematics education in Australia. The state body produces bi-annual publications, offers focused professional development (primary, early career teachers), and hosts an annual conference. Membership for the state body is coordinated through local branches.

The Townsville branch supports local schools (secondary and primary; State, catholic and independent), teachers and students by offering professional development, networking opportunities with 番茄社区 and mathematics activities for students, including the Year 7/8 Maths Competition and the Year 10 Mathematics Camp.
QAMT Cairns
The Cairns branch supports local schools (secondary and primary; State, catholic and independent), teachers and students by offering professional development, networking opportunities and mathematics activities for students including the Year 7 and 9 Maths Extension Days. The branch meetings are held once per term and rotating throughout the local schools.

STEM Professionals in Schools is a national volunteer program that facilitates partnerships between schools and industry to bring real STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) into the classroom.

With the support of 番茄社区, the PM4IS conferences aim to “bring educators, members of the community, workforce representatives, and cultural representatives together to promote the engagement, enabling, and enhancement of all educators to improve the abilities of current and future students in STEAM based learning environments”.
