As a postgraduate student at 番茄社区, you’ll be enrolled as either a:
- Domestic tuition fee paying student (most postgraduate students), or
- A Commonwealth supported student
To check what type of student you are, log into , click on the My Offers tab, then View next to your course. Your student type will be next to the Liability Category.
If you are a domestic fee paying student, it means your course is not Commonwealth supported (not subsidized by the Australian Government). Domestic fee paying students must pay full tuition fees for your studies.
Postgraduate subject fee amounts for domestic tuition fee-paying students
You are also required to pay or defer the SSA Fee by the payment due date of each study period and trimester.
If you are:
- an Australian citizen, or
- a permanent humanitarian visa-holder, or
- a New Zealand citizen who meets certain criteria,
and you meet , you may be eligible to defer payment of your SSA Fee (either in full or by part-payment) by submitting an SA-HELP form.
New Zealand citizens (who do not meet certain criteria) and permanent residents must pay the SSA Fee in full.
If you are:
- an Australian citizen, or
- a permanent humanitarian visa-holder, or
- a New Zealand citizen who meets certain criteria,
and you meet , you may be eligible to defer your subject (tuition) fees via the government loan program FEE-HELP. See defer your fees for more information.
New Zealand citizens (who do not meet certain criteria) and permanent residents are not eligible to defer. Your fees must be paid in full by the payment due date.
If paying upfront, see pay your fees for more information.
Most postgraduate courses are domestic tuition fee paying. However, there are a small number of courses that are Commonwealth supported.
If your course is Commonwealth supported and you are an Australian citizen, permanent humanitarian visa holder, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident, you may be eligible to apply to transfer to a Commonwealth supported place.
To check if your course is eligible, refer to the Commonwealth supported courses. Then, follow the steps to transfer to a Commonwealth supported place.
You can also view a comparison between tuition fee paying VS Commonwealth supported postgraduate students.
For Commonwealth supported fee amounts and payment options, go to Commonwealth supported students.
If you commenced your course as an international student but your residency status has since changed to domestic, depending on what you are studying, you may be eligible for a Commonwealth supported place. For more information see fee information for international students.
