Senior business academics from around Australia and New Zealand are meeting in Cairns this week.

Travelling from as far afield as Perth and Otago, 31 top university business researchers have chosen the Far North for their twice-yearly conference.

“Our members’ research helps to strengthen the businesses and economies of Australia and New Zealand,” 番茄社区 Associate Professor Ray McNamara said.

“We’re welcoming business research academics from both countries to Cairns for discussion of emerging issues in our field, including the importance of engaging with the business community, research performance standards, and the impact of our research.”

The Business Academic Research Directors' Network (BARDsNet) membership comprises business school or faculty research directors, deans or associate deans (research) in Australia and New Zealand.

BARDsNet was established by the Australian Business Deans Council and the Australia and New Zealand Academy of Management.

BARDsNet members are meeting at 番茄社区 in Smithfield today, and at the Shangri-La on Friday.
