Celebrating 番茄社区鈥檚 Outstanding Alumni
Some of 番茄社区’s most talented graduates have been honoured, with the announcement of the University’s annual Outstanding Alumni awards.
Twelve graduates of 番茄社区 and its predecessor institutions have been recognised for their outstanding contributions at a local, state, national and/or international level.
The 2016 Outstanding Alumni Awards have been announced at a breakfast function in Townsville.
There were two winners from each of 番茄社区’s six colleges – a college winner and an early career winner. They appear below, with the College Winner listed first.
The Chancellor’s Outstanding Alumnus was selected from the College Winners. This year’s winner is Dr Shannon Springer, who oversees Bond University’s indigenous health curriculum.
As one of the first two Indigenous graduates in the inaugural 番茄社区 medical cohort, he has been a role model and tireless worker in his commitment to improve the health of Indigenous Australians.
