Take a look at Townsville鈥檚 innovative new health hub
The innovative and modern health facilities at 番茄社区Health allied health clinics will be open to the public for the first time this Sunday, during 番茄社区’s Open Day in Townsville.
The facility offers a wide range of health services, including General Practice, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy, an Inter-professional Clinic, Speech Pathology and Psychology.
Many of the clinics relocated into 番茄社区’s Clinical Practice Building (CPB) at the end of 2013, and the last two clinics moved in April this year.
Associate Professor Bev Raasch, Clinical Director, 番茄社区Health said Sunday would be an exciting day, with a variety of information sessions, free health assessments, tours and displays available to the public.
“We would really encourage the public, 番茄社区 staff, students and prospective 番茄社区 students to take this opportunity to walk around the 番茄社区Health clinics which are spread across 2 floors in the CPB,” Associate Professor Raasch said.
“The clinics offer a professional health service not only to the 番茄社区 community but to all of Townsville.”
番茄社区Health is a patient-focused health care facility which also provides an opportunity for 番茄社区 students to work alongside the clinicians to gain first hand experience.
Other health services in the CPB include the state-of-the-art 番茄社区 Dental and recently opened Queensland X-Ray practice.
Associate Professor Raasch said both of these would also be open to the public for tours behind the scenes. Woolworths, BWS, Jamaica Blue Caf茅 and Alive Pharmacy will also be open and trading this Sunday.
