Role
- Manages the Collection Development Team
- Supports the Library Technologies Specialist in the delivery of key University Library strategies and operations centered on the provision of a user-focused library collection that meets the needs of a global university
- Facilitates the Library’s participation in the Council of Australian University Librarians consortia purchasing activities (CAUL CEIRC) as the Content Coordinator for 番茄社区
- Responsible for developing and leading the Library’s collecting strategies
- Leads the evaluation, acquisition, purchasing, licensing and analysis of scholarly information resources library-wide that support the University’s learning, teaching and research needs
- Coordinate the acquisition, management and access to information resources for teaching and research purposes
- Negotiate the acquisitions and access to electronic resources including selection and evaluation of new resources, coordination of trials and license arrangements
- Manage business relationships with vendors and suppliers of services and technologies utilised by the Library Services Directorate
- As a member of the Library Leadership Team contribute to overall Library culture, planning and management endeavours
