Admission Requirements
Course pre-requisites | Completion of an AQF level 7 bachelor degree in a business* or Human Services** discipline from this or another university; or Other qualifications or practical experience recognised by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the Division of Tropical Environments and Societies as equivalent to the above. * Cognate business disciplines: Accounting and Finance, Marketing, Management, Commerce, HRM, Economics, Tourism and Hospitality, or other disciplines where students will have completed study relating to organisational behaviour, business, strategy, marketing, economics, communication and people management. ** Cognate Human Services disciplines: Law, Business, Psychology, Social Work, Peace and Conflict Studies, Social Science, Education, Nursing, Communication or other disciplines where students will have completed study relating to human behaviour, communication and people management. They will also have developed skills in analysing theory and practice in areas relating to people and communication, and in particular providing support and advice to individuals, groups and organisations. Students from these disciplines will also have developed skills in ethical judgement and initiative in practice and research involving human interaction, as well as critical reflection and self-assessment of their capabilities and performance, and use feedback, in personal and professional development. |
Minimum English language proficiency requirements | Applicants of non-English speaking backgrounds must meet the English language proficiency requirements of Band 2 – Schedule II of the 番茄社区 Admissions Policy or have successfully completed an AQF 8 qualification from 番茄社区 within the previous two (2) years. |

Supplementary exam for final subject | A student who has failed a single subject towards the award in their final teaching period and who gained 40% or more of the marks for that subject may be granted a supplementary examination in that subject. Advanced Standing
Eligibility | Students may apply for exemption for previous tertiary study where appropriate in accordance with the Credit and Articulation policy and associated procedures. |
Maximum allowed | 24 credit points in total, with not more than 12 credit points of subjects specified in the course structure, for either the MBA component or the MCMR component of the joint degree. |
Currency | Advanced standing will be granted only for studies completed in the 10 years prior to the commencement of this course. |
Expiry | Advanced standing gained for any subject shall be cancelled 18 years after the date of the examination upon which the advanced standing is based if, by then, the student has not completed the course. |
Other restrictions | Advanced standing shall not be granted for work experience or undergraduate studies. |
