Course pre-requisites | Completion of an AQF level 7 bachelor degree in a relevant discipline; or Other qualifications recognised by the Deputy-Vice-Chancellor of the Division of Tropical Health and Medicine as equivalent to the above; or Submission, as an exceptional case, of other evidence of professional and academic attainments including a minimum of five years in health related activities. |

Eligibility | Students may apply for exemption for previous tertiary study where appropriate in accordance with the Advanced Standing and Articulation policy and associated procedures. |

Currency | Advanced standing will be granted only for studies completed in the 10 years prior to the commencement of this course. |
Expiry | Advanced standing gained for any subject shall be cancelled 18 years after the date of the examination upon which the advanced standing is based if, by then, the student has not completed this course. |
Other restrictions | Students with entry qualifications equivalent to four years or more of undergraduate or postgraduate study, plus a minimum of five years health related professional experience, may be granted advanced standing in recognition of prior learning up to a maximum of 12 credit points of study. In accordance with the Advanced Standing and Articulation policy A maximum of 6 credit points may be granted for other postgraduate subjects, provided those subjects have not been credited towards any other award, either at this or any other University. |
