Minimum English Language Proficiency Requirements | Students of non English speaking backgrounds must have an adequate English language capacity assessed under the Australian International English Language Testing System. An IELTS score of 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5 is required (Band 1 at 番茄社区). Students scoring below this may be offered up to six months intensive language training prior to admission to the course. |

Advanced Standing
Eligibility | Candidates may apply for advanced standing for previous tertiary study in accordance with the Advanced Standing for Previous Studies and Recognised Prior Learning policy associated procedures. |

Currency | Advanced standing will be granted only for studies completed in the 5 years prior to the commencement of this course. |
Expiry | Advanced standing gained for any subject shall be cancelled 15 years after the date of the examination upon which the advanced standing is based if, by then, the candidate has not completed this course. |
Other restrictions | A maximum of 9 credit points of advanced standing may be granted at level 3. Candidates who are granted advanced standing for the Diploma of Information Technology will be required to surrender that award prior to graduating from this course. |
