Pre-requisites |
Completion of a first or second class honours degree accredited by the Australian Psychological Society or an equivalent qualification from an overseas institution; or Completion of a four-year degree or a postgraduate diploma accredited by the Australian Psychological Society, achieved at a level which is deemed by the Head of School to be at least equivalent to a second class honours degree; or Completion of at least a bachelor degree in an appropriate discipline and, in the opinion of the Selection Committee, adequate experience and/or training and academic competence to succeed in the course. |

Advanced Standing
Eligibility |
Candidates may apply for advanced standing for previous tertiary study in accordance with the Advanced Standing for Previous Studies and Recognised Prior Learning policy associated procedures. |

Currency |
Advanced standing will be granted only for studies completed in the 10 years prior to the commencement of this course. |
Expiry |
Advanced standing gained for any subject shall be cancelled 10 years after the date of the examination upon which the advanced standing is based if, by then, the candidate has not completed the course of study prescribed for the degree. |
Other restrictions |
Candidates who are granted advanced standing for the Postgraduate Certificate of Clinical Psychology will be required to surrender that award prior to graduating with the Postgraduate Diploma of Geropsychology. |
