Pre-requisites | Completion of a bachelor degree in a relevant discipline; or Completion, to a suitable standard, of the Postgraduate Diploma of Public Health and Tropical Medicine from this university; or Other qualifications recognised by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Molecular Sciences as equivalent to the above; or Submission, as an exceptional case, of other evidence of professional and academic attainments including a minimum of five years in health related activities. |

Advanced Standing
Eligibility | Candidates may apply for advanced standing for previous tertiary study in accordance with the Advanced Standing for Previous Studies and Recognised Prior Learning policy associated procedures. |

Currency | Advanced standing will be granted only for studies completed in the 10 years prior to the commencement of this course |
Expiry | Advanced standing gained for any subject shall be cancelled 5 years after the date of the examination upon which the advanced standing is based if, by then, the candidate has not completed this course |
Other restrictions | Candidates with entry qualifications equivalent to four years or more of undergraduate or postgraduate study, plus a minimum of five years health related professional experience, may be granted advanced standing in recognition of prior learning up to a maximum of 12 credit points of study. A maximum of 6 credit points may be granted for other postgraduate subjects, provided those subjects have not been credited towards any other award, either at this or any other University. |
