Professor Jamaluddin Jompa is awarded Chancellor's Award at the annual Outstanding Alumni Awards.He is one of Indonesia’s top scientists, and arguably one of the country’s best in marine and environmental science. He is currently the chair of the Centre of Excellence of Marine Resilience and the Dean of the Post Graduate School at Hasanuddin University.

His early scientific work on coral reef processes has been influential within the international marine community, and his recent research continues to push the boundaries of innovation, knowledge and application for marine and coastal resources. Professor Jamaluddin Jompa graduated from ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø in 2003 with a PhD in Science.
