The Townsville College of Advanced Education (formerly Townsville Teacher’s College) is amalgamated with ·¬ÇÑÉçÇø. Student enrolments increase by 56 per cent as a result.

The Townsville Teacher’s College began in 1969 and trained primary and secondary teachers for Queensland schools. In 1981 it became the Townsville College of Advanced Education.
